Package Design

The task was to create packaging that would be cohesive throughout all of future and existing products. I worked with both engineering and warehouse management to understand design elements that would be functional for shipping, warehouse productivity and sustainability while also fitting the overall brand image.

Sustainable design

With a brand that is highly focused on sustainability, it was really important to make sure the packaging also was eco-friendly.

Working with the engineering team, I was able to come up with box sizing and designs that were as compact as possible. This would allow products to stay safe during shipping with no movement while also using the least amount of material necessary.

The kraft box design with no internal packaging or padding was adopted as a low-material, recyclable option that the company has continued to use year after year.

Final design

The design for each packaging followed a semi-strict set of brand guidelines that included color, logo sizing, font, and product imagery.

Different products are produced within three separate factories, so the branding clearly defined was pertinent to cohesive packaging design.
